I wish they would show videos with people who aren’t extremely muscular therapists for the leaner petite people

  8. TMundo says:

this is what massage therapy should be about, performed from an educated medical standpoint.

  9. Danith says:

No what I meant was not everyone is as strong as the majority of the therapists on youtube, I’d like to see how a less muscular therapist does it

  10. delphlee says:

you dont have to be muscular or extra strong to give effective massage.if the therapist uses good posture and body mechanics this will allow him/her to use their body weight to transfere a heavy pressure.

  11. SammyJ21 says:

Hey Danith, I’m a massage therapist and I’m about 110 lbs: it’s not about the musculature of the therapist.Good massge doesn’t take a lot of pressure…This video presents the techniques with proper body mechanics to allow a smaller therapist to acheive good results….When the muscles are already injured or traumatised the last thing you want to do is beat the hell out of them and make it worse..

I am a recovered fibromyalgic who left the care of the medical profession to discover the cause and cure of this horrific condition without drugs, and am living proof you can cure this and take back your life. Symptoms are mistaken for the cause and treatments that help do not cure. Please, do not be discouraged by failed hope and keep going!!!

I’m 5’3, 118lbs so I’m by no means muscular or big, and I do NMT. delphlee is correct, using correct body mechanics, good posture, and making sure you have your hands in the proper place any size therapist can be effective.

  21. EddieCullen85 says:

Size dusnt matter they say in general 4kg is the optimum pressure. And i no its bein said but body mechanics is everything plus a little flex of the fingers helps the hands.
